TEMPORARY STAY VISA (VITAS)
A Temporary Stay Visa (VITAS) is granted upon authorization from the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta.
To expedite the authorization, it is advisable to have the sponsor in Indonesia also submit the
application directly to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta.
It is valid if presented within 3 [three] months after the date of issuance and is valid for a
maximum stay of 2 (two) years and can be extended in Indonesia. VITAS are for working and non-working
purposes; such as foreign investment, family re union, repatriation, and retirement.
Visa Requirements:
- Passport (with a minimum validity of 18 months from the date of entry into Indonesia);
- Visa application Form completed in full with 2 (two) recent colour passport size photographs
- A written approval from the Immigration Office in Indonesia;
- Money Order (depends on the length of stay), payable to The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia;
- Two supporting letters, each from the applicant’s firm in Canada and sponsor/counterpart in Indonesia setting out the reason and duration of the proposed visit and responsibility for accommodation/maintenance costs for those who apply for business purposes;
- A letter of invitation from the sponsor in Indonesia setting out details, including nature, duration and purpose of stay;
- Visa fees in the form of a money order only, payable to the The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia as follow:
