JURNALIST VISA

A Journalist Visa is issued to foreign journalists/reporters who indend to enter Indonesia for
media coverage or documentary film purposes. This visa could be obtained through these following
procedures at the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate office at the country where the applicant resides:
Visa Requirements:
- Original passport, valid for more than 6 (six) months beyond the intended length of stay.
- Visa application Form completed in full with 2 (two) recent colour passport size photographs

- A written statement from the bureau to which journalist works for, certifying the objective, place
and duration of visit (for the duration of visit, please state from what date until what date
journalist will stay in Indonesia)
- List of equipments (if any) brought by the applicant to Indonesia.
Please state the name, detailed qualification and amount of item and state that you will
re-export all the equipment upon the completion of making coverage when leaving Indonesia)
- Synopsis or background information of the story/documentation to be made in Indonesia
- A copy of the airline ticket/itinerary from the travel agent
- The Embassy or Consulate Office will forward the above-mentioned documents to our
government in Jakarta for their consideration. If the government accepts your application,
the Embassy or Consulate Office will process the visa.
- A single entry journalistic visa stay will be issued for up to 60 (sixty) days, please contact
the visa section for details
- Payment of the visa administration fee does not guarantee that the application will be successful
- Once granted the Journalistic Visa, upon the arrival in Indonesia the applicant should report
and collect Temporary Press Card and other necessary documents to the:
