banner_asean_golf_inside_09Since 1994, the Consulates General of the five founding ASEAN member countries in Vancouver have organized an annual ASEAN Golf Tournament to raise fund for charity. More than C$130,000 were raised over the years and donated to various charity organizations such as the BC Epilepsy Society, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, BC Blind’s Sport & Recreations Association, Multicultural Helping House Society (Vancouver), victims of the natural calamities in Southeast Asia, and the Tapestry Foundation of the Mount St. Joseph Hospital as the beneficiaries.

This year, the Tournament will be held on Friday, 24 July 2009, at the Northview Golf & Country Club, 6857 – 168 Street, Surrey BC.

Set up to be a fun and challenging event, it will also serve as a great opportunity to build and nurture friendships between members of the ASEAN Consulates General and representatives from the business sector and other communities in Vancouver.

As Chairman of the organizing committee for the 15th Annual ASEAN Golf Tournament, I wish to invite you to support us as a sponsor or a player. I enclose herewith the Sponsorship/Registration Form for your kind consideration. You may wish to send the form by fax or by post. Cheque payable to the “ASEAN Golf Tournament” should be mailed to the Consulate General of Indonesia. Our contact details are provided in this letter.

We look forward to your generous support for this worthy cause to help the less fortunate people.

With best wishes

Yours sincerely,
Wibanarto Eugenius
Chairman of the 2009 ASEAN Golf Tournament /
Acting Consul General of Indonesia
